You have selected the Gap Year Provider | 101-200 gap year students/year membership level.

For gap year providers who represent a gap year program or a shorter chapter to a gap year, are in-process of Accreditation, or otherwise unaccredited by the Association but interested in affiliating to grow the movement and gain benefits of sharing our tent. Fees are billed annually, and with COVID-19 we are inviting online and other "chapters" of a gap year, provided they still meet GYA's requirements.

Your program may be one element in a series that comprises a full gap year, and that could be online, inside, outdoors, or in another country.  Download the flyer on the side here and read more about the benefits of joining the Gap Year Association.  Fees are dependent on student numbers and billed annually.

FEES:

Accreditation is charged at a flat rate of either $3,000 or $4,000 depending on their size only on Accreditation-review years. Accreditations are valid for 4, or 5 years at the discretion of the GYA. Newly accredited programs must submit a self-assessed review two years into their accreditation cycle to support compliance. When not on an Accreditation Review year, organizations are required to pay the Gap Year Provider Fee.  Gap year students for Accreditation are defined as: (1) on program a minimum of 2 months, (2) between the ages of 17-21.

0 - 50 students:
51 - 100 students:
  • Annual fees = $400 per year
  • Annual fees = $575 per year
101 - 200 students:
200 + students:
  • Annual fees = $1,100 per year
  • Annual fees = $2,200 per year

You will be required to submit the following items before we are able to place your organization on the GYA website.  A form allows for these to be uploaded and submitted after you've registered & paid.


NOTE:

  1. A logo for your organization that we can post on our Gap Year Providers web page
  2. A blurb that we can post on the Gap Year Providers web page
  3. Proof that you’ve been in business at least 2 years
    • NOTE: alternatively, organizations can share a business plan and the CV/Resume of Executive Staff
  4. Up-to-date insurance and registration documents
  5. A risk management plan (if content is more than online)
  6. A public inclusion / diversity policy (share where it is publicly available)
  7. Public student policies (share where they are publicly available)
  8. A public mission statement (share where it is publicly available)
  9. Publicly available Essential Eligibility Criteria (link to a great presentation at the WRMC by Catherine Hansen-Stamp & Janet Zeller)

The price for membership is $1,100.00 per Year.
